Do you remember putting pennies on the railroad tracks? Or putting them into the machines with the giant gears to pressed the pennies into new shapes? Well, these pennies have been smashed by BNSF locomotives as they pass through Marceline at the Santa Fe Ave. crossing. Genuine pennies, compressed by the weight of a great locomotive.

Nothing special is imprinted on them, and they bear no resemblance of their original value, execpt the color – and a card that authenticates that the penny was smashed right here in Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri… on the same route that Walt’s Uncle Mike engineered steam trains through town when Walt was just a boy.
