Consignment

Do you own unique or interesting Walt Disney, Disney, Marceline, or Railroad items you’d like to make available for sale to dedicated fans and collectors on consignment? Consignment allows you, as the seller, to market your item on a national level through our website and social media marketing. As the assortment of collectibles grows, the more buyers will visit the Emporium and see what’s available. That’s how we’ll sell your item for you.

The Marceline Emporium is located in Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri. The Disney fans that make the trek to Marceline are exactly the people who will want to buy your Disney collectibles. And because Marceline was built by the Santa Fe Railroad and served as a Missouri division point for decades, there’s a lot of railroad history and memorabilia here for serious railfans to buy as well.

While we can do online auctions, we focus more on walk-in, online, and email traffic to show off and sell rare, one-of-a-kind, and desirable collectibles and gifts that railroad and Disney fans want. If you want your collectibles marketed on auction websites, we can do that for you as well. Contact us to talk about some ideas. Consignment shops usually charge between 30 and 50% of the sale fee, but we’re happy to only charge 25% on most items (after the item sells) – less if the item is very valuable. Before you ship your item(s) to Marceline, let’s talk and come up with a plan.

Brokering

If you don’t want to ship your items to Marceline, we can also promote your item as a broker. That means that you will keep the item(s) in your possession until they sell, then you will be responsible for shipping to the buyer. Since the Emporium would get the bad reviews if items isn’t shipped quickly or correctly, for brokering sales, we charge a 50% final value fee on items. We’ll also hold the buyer’s payment in escrow until they confirm receiving the item as expected.
